Project and Partners

China Development Charity Foundation partners with a range of institutions, including schools, universities, NGOs and companies to deliver education-related projects.

For example, we have worked with the renowned British School in Beijing and Dulwich College to deliver the teacher training one week residential course for over a decade. Additionally, SSP Foods from Hong Kong worked with CDCF to deliver a youth development program in the city of Shanghai. 

Similarly, we have also cooperated with Gansu and Lanzhou Universities to deliver career training initiatives. Following an introduction from BMW Foundation, we have also undertaken a sports training project for girls at a migrant school in Beijing with Balsam International, a Kuwait-based NGO.  We also promote Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in Chambers’ of Commerce (both Foreign and Chinese) and work with The Hopkins-Nanjing Center in order to deliver a CSR training mini-course over a three day period for MBA students.

Yunnan Minority University

Wang Liwei visited Yunnan Minority University on 28 April 2018 to do a talk on career opportunities and to teach presentation skills.

Lanzhou University Debate Competition


In 2016, Wang Liwei and Clare Pearson organised a debate competition at Lanzhou University with Alan White from NCUK (representing 17 UK universities) and Guan Xin from a Chinese Television network.

Dulwich College has partnered with CDCF over a number of years to deliver a one week residential teacher training program for twenty visiting teachers from western China.

Scholarships for Middle School pupils and rural teachers in Shandong

Scholarships for Middle School pupils and rural teachers in Shandong Brief Description: Extra financial support is provided to the school teachers who teach the extra curricular classes to the less well off students in Shandong (see Program 1 above

Support for Wuxun Education Foundation for Career Training for High School Child

CDCF provides scholarships for less well-off children in Shandong to receive scholarships for extra-curricular classes to enhance their prospects of being accepted into university. CDF receives recommendations regarding which students to support from Wuxun Education Foundation which is run by retired school headmasters in Shandong. The scholarships are then used to support their participation in after school classes.

Career training for high school students

In partnership with Yunnan Minzhu (ethnic) local university CDF run a career training program to enable students from minority backgrounds to gain the skills and confidence to compete in the job market. The program includes public speaking training, CV writing and interview practice

Xinjiang sewing machine project

This program empowera Uyghur women to start up their own businesses by providing them with state-of-the-art electronic sewing machines. Some of the women work independently or in sewing circles to produce woven aprons and decorative cushion covers etc. for sale online. The women who receive the sewing machines are recommended by the local authorities. They can then sew at home and look after children at the same time if required.

Xinjiang Wheelchair project

We have been working for a number of years with an orphanage in Urumqi China. Some of the children have slight brain damage but a number have brain damage and paralyzed limbs. To improve the quality of life of the children and to enable them to go outside more, CDF buys new wheelchairs and donates them to the Urumqi orphanage so that they can select the beneficiaries.
